Hello and welcome to the first week of Journalism for Youth!
To kick off the class, Tiffany Lee will be speaking to you today about the upcoming weeks and how she started her youth journalism journey. She is also the course’s coordinator and Team 3’s mentor, so you will be hearing lots from her over the next coming weeks.
Tiffany is 16 years old, hailing from Canada and is heading into her senior year of high school. She is a youth leader, national public speaking champion and works in the film and tv industry as an actor. Over the past year, she has been working at United Youth Journalists, the host organization for this class. As a founding member, she helped build up the organization and currently leads it as the editor in chief. Despite having no background in journalism before starting UYJ, she has been very successful in leading the youth journalism initiative and will share her experiences with you today.
