Personal Empowerment
Leadership training has too often focused simply on your public perception and gaining respect. More attention needs to be focused on our inner ability to become more self-aware and reflective, to be in control of our decisions, and our ability to foster these concepts in others. We need to lead from a foundation of authenticity. As an authentic leader, others will want to follow in your steps.
Brandon Barile is a certified personal empowerment facilitator and Performance Coach. He has worked in higher education for 12 years in various roles. He served as a student leader and, in his professional career, focused on providing development opportunities for students through one-on-one interactions and training. Brandon has consulted for colleges, universities, and associations, teaching about implementing technology in training, serving as a subject matter expert in incorporating instructional design for staff training, and fostering emotional intelligence as a supervision style. In addition to his current role at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Residential Education, Brandon instructs a Personal Empowerment course for students, and has served as an Associate Faculty member at an online university, teaching Adult Development and an introductory course encouraging students to find their personal motivations in their educational journey.
