This morning we welcomed 6,000 developers to our 7th annual Google I/O developer conference. The crowd in San Francisco was joined by millions more watching on the livestream and 597 I/O Extended events, in 90+ countries on six continents.
We’re meeting at an exciting time for Google, and for our developer community. There are now one billion of you around the world who use an Android device. One billion. We estimate that’s more than 20 billion text messages sent every day. 1.5 trillion steps taken with an Android. And more importantly, a roughly estimated 93M selfies.
Today, developers got a preview of our most ambitious Android release yet. With more than 5,000 new APIs (for non-techies, that stands for application programming interfaces) and a new, consistent design approach called material design, we’re continuing to evolve the Android platform so developers can bring to life even more beautiful, engaging mobile experiences.
But, beyond the mobile phone, many of us are increasingly surrounded by a range of screens throughout the day–at home, at work, in the car, or even on our wrist. So, we got to thinking: how do we invest more in our two popular, open platforms—Android and Chrome—to make it easier for you to easily and intuitively move from your phone, tablet, laptop to your TV, car or even your watch?

There is something strange going on with everyday Americans…
You might have felt it during the last decade, a sensation of insecurity that comes and goes without any specific reason… … and according to a doctor in history and theology there is very good explanation for this.
Dr. Nathan Shepard is convinced that these feeling of anxiety that have been slowly creeping up on the American public have little to do with terrorism or the economy.
“The economy has crashed several times it the past. Our security and freedom was threatened during the second world war and during the cold war by forces much greater than terrorists. You must understand all of god’s creations have an inner intuition warning them of imminent danger”.
According to his theory this feeling is foreshadowing the greatest event of human history… and the warning signs are encrypted in the final chapters of the Holy Bible.

According to Dr. Shepard the church is fully aware of this as these signs have been identified as far back as 2009 but they chose to keep it under total secrecy.
While we had doubts about his theory his video presentation was very compelling… I must admit I couldn’t stop watching. And the picture it painted was very bleak.
What was amazing is how exactly the Biblical texts related to current day events. Even though I am not a very religious person, what I saw was disturbing… and it all seemed to fit together all too well.
As Dr. Shepard told us “American families are not in the least bit prepared for this. We rely on FEMA and other state authorities completely… and we all know how well that worked in the past. That is why I think this warning must be taken very seriously!”
